We are specialists in the field of fund and member communication. We believe in a scientific approach to communication to ensure that the financial acumen levels of members are increased and maintained. The strategic goal of our communication strategies is to ensure that all members are empowered to retire financially sound by making informed decisions about their retirement benefits. PF 130 circular on governance by the Financial Services Board stipulates that communication to members should be done in an adequate, appropriate and cost effective manner to afford all parties the opportunity to understand the information and make informed decisions.  The question that arises is who is equipped to decide if communication that funds send out is adequate, appropriate and of value to members. Surely only the members of these funds are best qualified to answer these questions? The first step in the communication process is therefore research. As can be seen below our services include surveys to determine member preferences. RetirementWise is an exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) for BEE purposes, and currently has two full time employees.

Credibility - Our People

Estie van Coller, the founder of the business, has been working in the retirement industry since 1989. She started her career at Eskom Pension and Provident Fund and spent 10 years building the communication capability at Eskom and ensuring that the industry took notice of the need to communicate with members. The next eight years (1999 to 2007) were spent at Coris Capital where she was responsible for member communication, trustee services, customer service and product development. She resigned in April 2007 to start RetirementWise Pty Ltd. 

Estie has won numerous awards for communication and was a member of the board of the Institute of Retirement Funds for 6 years. She headed up the Communication Sub-Committee for many years. She has an honours degree in Communication and completed an Executive Leadership Development Programme through the UCT Business School (with Distinction) in November 2007. She was proud to be a signatory to the Financial Sector Charter, representing the Institute of Retirement Funds.

Zelda Reyneke, joined RetirementWise during January 2014. 

She started her career at South African Airways where she obtained valuable experience in customer service and dealing with people of various, diverse cultures. Prior to this she worked in the Education Sector as a Public Relations Officer for 19 years. She was responsible for Tertiary Institutions’ customer relations as well as internal and external communication strategies and concepts. 

She completed her Communications and Public Relations qualification with Unisa during 2009 (with distinction). Her work integrated learning (WIL) was completed with RetirementWise where she obtained valuable exposure to the Retirement Industry.
